As we move into a likely blended learning environment for the fall, with students learning both on campus and online, here’s a quick thought on a Friday.

Community or geographically-bound schools will now have to ponder if they really are a day school in the future. Are they really bound to a geographic region anymore? How will they define that market? By a geofence? Or do they now compete in a regional, national, or global marketplace? We know that new competitors will be entering into the online space in every market. That has been and will continue to accelerate post-pandemic. What will be the impact on community or day schools?
